Waipio Valley, Big Island, Hawaii

2012 was a really wonderful year, especially my trip to the Big Island. Horseback riding in the Waipio Valley will always be a treasured memory, and was one of my most favorite days this year.
The beauty was hard to capture, but hopefully there is a sense of it in the above picture. I have really enjoyed putting together this photo blog this year, and look forward to doing it again in 2013 – and hopefully truly making it daily, not just 1/3 of the year like it ended up so far.
